Working with the team at Bright Path Strong as a senior digital producer has been a highlight of my career. As an Oklahoman, I was taught throughout my upbringing of the injustices Jim Thorpe faced as a Native American. Through our social media campaign designed to bring awareness of who Jim Thorpe was and why his title as the sole champion was taken from him, we garnered more than 75,000 signatures to petition to change this officially. In 2022, through the amazing efforts of the Bright Path Strong team and those who signed the petition, Jim Thorpe was reinstated as the sole champion.
